Hand-applied color enhancement.
Flowers can lose vibrancy as they dry, and natural botanical pigments may change with age. I can carefully enhance color with hand-applied pigments to bring richness and visual balance back to preserved flowers while retaining their delicate texture.
For Custom Floral Art, color evaluation and enhancement where appropriate are included in every commission. For Custom Flower Pressing, color enhancement is an optional add-on, so you can choose naturally pressed flowers or enhanced ones for your own projects.
Color enhancement can visibly improve appearance, but no treatment can guarantee that botanical colors will never fade.

Starting at $297 for up to 30 finished botanical pieces, with 45- and 60-piece packages available.
My work began with growing flowers and learning to see and appreciate the details that make each bloom unique. Today, I bring that same attention to preserving and arranging them into original artwork.

Custom Floral Art results in a finished, artist-designed piece of framed art. With Custom Flower Pressing, your flowers are pressed and returned loose so you can use them in your own artwork or creative projects.
What’s the difference between your two services?

Color evaluation and enhancement are included with commissioned artwork. For loose pressed flowers, color enhancement is an optional add-on with its own fee.
Is color enhancement included?

Coordinated artwork commissions are a possible option. Exact sizes, available quantities, and pricing are discussed before work begins.
Can I order multiple pieces of art from my flowers?

How do I send my flowers?

For local/regional customers, Laura can coordinate pickup of your flowers at a location within 25 miles of Yellow Springs, Ohio. If you live farther away, you’ll need to overnight your flowers to the studio within 48 hours of your event. If you plan to ship your flowers, Laura will give you complete instructions in advance.
How long will the colors last?

All botanical colors can change with age and exposure to light. While color enhancement can improve their appearance, long-term color retention cannot be guaranteed. Care and display instructions will accompany the finished artwork.
