There’s no second chance.
Pressing treasured flowers takes more than putting them between the pages of a book. Different varieties need different techniques, and delicate, layered flowers may need to be taken apart and pressed petal by petal. Thick flowers are prone to molding and turning black.
When your flowers are irreplaceable, it’s not the time to experiment. I handle the preparation, pressing, and careful preservation. You receive loose pressed flowers and greenery, ready to arrange in your own art, cards, journals, or other keepsakes.
I'll take care of the preservation. The creative part is up to you.
Choose your preservation package.
Your package includes up to the selected number of beautiful pressed botanical pieces returned loose for your own projects. You may send extra fresh flowers so I can choose the best specimens.
Included: Professional preparation and pressing, selecting the best finished botanicals, and selective color correction when appropriate (at artist’s discretion). Loose flowers and greenery are returned unframed, typically in 4–8 weeks after receipt.
Return shipping: $29, paid at checkout. Local pickup of fresh flowers is included within 25 miles of Yellow Springs, Ohio; for clients outside the local area, the cost of shipping fresh flowers to the studio is paid by the client.
Step 1: Choose your package
Standard pressing with up to 30 botanical pieces (flowers and foliage) returned to you, ready to use in your creative projects.
A typical bridal bouquet is made of 25-35 stems, so this package is perfect for a bouquet. I suggest including extra flowers if you have them available (as many as 45 stems total) and when they arrive, I will choose the best specimens for pressing. When all are pressed, I’ll carefully examine each and choose the best-of-the-best and return up to 30 pieces to you.

I suggest including extra flowers if you have them available (as many as 60 stems total) and when they arrive, I will choose the best specimens for pressing. When all are pressed, I’ll carefully examine each and choose the best-of-the-best and return up to 45 pieces to you.
Standard pressing with up to 60 botanical pieces (flowers and foliage) returned to you, ready to use in your creative projects.
I suggest including extra flowers if you have them available (as many as 80 stems total) and when they arrive, I will choose the best specimens for pressing. When all are pressed, I’ll carefully examine each and choose the best-of-the-best and return up to 60 pieces to you.
Step 2: Optional services
This optional service includes comprehensive color enhancement of every botanical piece in your package. Pigment is hand-mixed to resemble the original, fresh colors of your arrangement before being hand-applied to each piece. In the photo above, the flower on the left has been color enhanced.
Plant materials are organic items that change colors and texture when they’re dried. They will continue to change color and fade over time. Comprehensive color enhancement helps keep your flowers looking fresh and vibrant longer.
Choosing this option lets me know you’re interested in having me reconstruct flowers that must be pressed petal-by-petal.
Some flowers are especially delicate and need to be taken apart and pressed petal by petal, then reconstructed to look like the original flower again. Ranunculus and poppies are two common examples. A standard pressing package doesn’t include reconstruction. I can reconstruct these flowers for you if you prefer.
$37 per flower. Your flowers will be evaluated upon arrival and this service will be invoiced later, if any need to be reconstructed and you choose to have me do it.
The best of your flowers.
What counts as one botanical piece?
One botanical piece is one flower or one stem of flowers or greenery preserved and returned. If a stem with three flowers can be successfully pressed intact, that stem counts as one piece. If the flowers must be removed from the stem and pressed individually, each flower counts as a separate piece.
My goal is to preserve each stem as intact as practical, using the techniques that produce the best result.
Carefully selected, twice.
I encourage you to send extra fresh flowers so I can select the ones that are in best condition for pressing. My goal is to represent all the varieties you send while choosing the most promising blooms and greenery to press.
I press extra specimens to account for natural variation in the process, then I select the best finished botanicals to return to you. Not everything you send will be pressed or returned to you. Lesser quality material will be discarded.
You'll have an opportunity to identify your priority flowers at booking. I'll make every reasonable effort to include them as long as their condition allows.
